This annual report is based on the aesethics of the Starbucks brand. I included small sketch like illustrations in pen, pastel illustrations, and imagry throughout the book to relate to the various ideas behind Starbucks. Each illustration is based off of the whole bean coffee types, like Sumatra and Verona, that they sell in the store or market. I decided to create the book in a sketch like manner because of the hand writing that are placed on the cups during an order. In the past, Starbucks advertisements have featured image and sketches together, which is why I felt this style acceptable for my annual report. The pastel drawings and subtle green backgrounds relate to their menu signage which have a chalkboard feel to them. The paper I used was Mohawk pure white, and I used the typeface Avenir Next. This typeface was fairly similar to the logo. On my break pages, I featured a quote that was foil stamped in green.
